Amarone of Valpolicella D.O.C.G. Classico
Terroir: Our vineyards are located in Valgatara, nestled in the heart of Valpolicella, at an elevation of 200-300 meters above sea level. The diverse soil, rich in limestone and well-drained, creates an ideal foundation.
Vineyard: Following the traditional Veronese pergola system, most vines face the southern sun, perfect for cultivating exceptional grapes.
Grape Varieties: Corvina Veronese 65%, Rondinella 30%, Molinara 5%.
Alcohol Content: 15.5% by volume.
Harvest: Carried out in September, by skilled individuals who manually select the finest clusters.
Winemaking: After three months of drying, the grapes are vinified in stainless steel tanks for 15-20 days under controlled temperatures.
Aging: Aged in oak barrels for approximately 3 to 4 years, and a minimum of 6 months in the bottle.
Tasting Notes: Intense red color, expansive aromas of fresh red fruits such as blackberry and cherry, followed by spicy undertones reminiscent of chocolate and toasting, with sweet notes of vanilla. On the palate, it's warm, balanced, persistent, with soft tannins and hints of leather, licorice, and a lingering note of drying grapes.
Pairings: Grilled red meats, game, and well-aged cheeses.
Serving Temperature: 18°C - 20°C.
